Foust Elementary
Greensboro, North Carolina
Foust Elementary School were able to collect a grant opportunity from the North Carolina Outdoor Heritage Advisory Council’s “Go Outside” grant stream. The aim of the grant; to increase student access to the outdoors and allow them to learn in hands-on environments, was ideally-suited to our OutClass™ outdoor classrooms and a slam-dunk when it came to satisfying the council’s requirements.
They have a 15 student module with a post mounted chalkboard and a teacher’s sit-and-stand log podium, the classroom setting is further insulated by optional fence panel and cedar planter dividers.
Foust Elementary is among a growing list of facilities who’ve partnered with regional (and federal) funding initiatives to expand capacity while offering students and educators the opportunity to utilize the outdoors in their everyday curriculum.
